Dream On

Illustration from Pamela Winterbourne Compilation

Some dreams will never come true. It is now time to set them aside, and move on with my life. I've accepted the fact that I'll never:
  1. Sing on stage with the Dixie Chicks. (Picking a banjo during the finale of Cowboy.)
  2. Sail on a sailboat with Robert Redford. (Picture the scene in The Way We Were.)
  3. Backpack through Europe, sleep in haylofts, and bathe in streams.
  4. Have Ed McMahon show up at my door with a million dollars.
  5. Illustrate books with my drawings. (aka Mary Engelbreit.)
Do you have any to add?

Marty,

Yes, I have now accepted the fact that I will never go to someone's beautiful home for a soiree and ,to the surprise of everyone attending, sit down at the baby grand piano and play Chopin.

Sigh.........

Yep....

~Never be a world-class figure skater. I've always wished I could glide like a swan across the ice.

~Never be an incredible singer/performer....but in my dreams, I'm amazing.

~In my dreams I can fly....anywhere. I don't see that happening anytime too soon.

~Like Nancy....I too have always wanted to be a fantastic pianist...I guess it would have helped if I actually took lessons.

~Oh, there's more.....

I'm pretty sure I will never be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. And, I'm not domesticated enough to be the next Martha Stewart. sigh.
