What's the Story?

While running errands today I saw:
  1. A car with three dog passengers, all in car seats.
  2. A heavy young woman in spandex, pushing a double stroller packed with two kids and groceries, accompanied by two huge dogs on leashes. She crossed the street and then started jogging...at a very speedy pace, I might add.
  3. A grandpa-aged man riding in a battery (I guess) powered wheelchair. It had a little cart on the back carrying two tanks of oxygen, and he had an oxygen tube in his nose. He was also pushing a stroller with a toddler in it!
  4. A man at a stoplight ahead of me, whose wife (or close friend) was cutting the hair in his ears. At the next stoplight she cut the hair in his nose.
Somebody should put these people in a book. I'd love to know their stories.

Have you seen any interesting characters lately?

You've got to be kidding me! We just drove to the East coast and back and didn't see one thing like those crazy scenes. You've got to be one observant lady. I'm going to keep a better eye out and will let you know what we see.

In our area I'm constantly yelling about parents who won't even put their kids in car seats! Too bad they don't care about the kids as much as this person cares about their dogs!

I feel sorry for the large girl who was working so hard. It just isn't right.

Oh that is just hilarious! You see weird people like that and wonder how so many of them can be converged in one city. But somehow they are. Boggles the mind.

Just think - at least you weren't one of them. Something to pat yourself on the back for.

Oh, good lord...I don't know how you managed to keep driving withoug crashing....especially seeing the couple in the car clipping hairs. I don't know whether to be amused or disgusted by them.

As far as those dogs in car seats....what a hoot. I hope they give equal time and attention to the 'real' people in their lives. This was too funny Marty....thanks sweetie. Have a most wonderful weekend....

I observe the same kind of stuff all the time in my walks with my grandson. Friday's goodie was a guy sitting off on a side street on top of a beat-up old suitcase carrying on conversations with what seemed like about 10 different people -- who weren't there! Dylan and I gave him a pretty wide berth as we passed by, I must say, ha! I carry pepper spray with me when I walk, just to be careful.
