Gratitude Attitude

Ten Random Blessings
  1. My grandma taught me to file my nails in one direction (towards the center.) It makes them stronger—sawing back and forth makes them split. Even manicurists do it wrong.
  2. I learned to draw a box, in perspective with lines toward a horizon, in seventh grade. It is one of my most enjoyable doodles.
  3. Scott taught me how to do Quicken five years ago. Now I know when I'm overdrawn.
  4. Brookstone makes palm-sized personal fans and I have one.
  5. I can afford real butter, real vanilla and good mascara.
  6. ♫ My home, sweet home.♫
  7. We can fast forward through commercials.
  8. Peter, Paul & Mary songs.
  9. After 30 years Dee's Salzburg costume fits again, proving he's fit.
  10. Our 1995 miracle Suburu held out for 240,000 miles . . .

. . . and gracefully stepped aside

for our bewitching new blue car!

I'll be on the lookout this month for random blessings.
You're welcome to list some of yours!

Palm-sized fans? I'm there. I love their tempurpedic (sp?) slippers. I always have a new pair on hand, just in case.

Great list. Nice to remember that not all blessings are big and full of bells and whistles. Love you new car, very sassy!

I like your list. I wrote a post long ago called 'Small Miracles' -- the little serendipitouis things that occur at random. I am grateful for every morning that I wake up and you know why.

Great list! I'm thankful for free public libraries, for online shopping and bill-paying and for public parks, whether they be local, state or national. I'm also thankful that my Chevy is still rolling.
