(I'm blank.)

Where do you get your ideas?

Sometimes when I go back to old blog posts, previously written articles, or through my journals I find something that triggers a new idea, or a new way of looking at an old idea. Reading almost anything can trigger writing and help me find my voice.

Photos, pictures, reading, memories. Of course I have been blank for a while now, so I guess I should take my own advice.

Photos and memories. Moments that slip by and then gently whisper back reminders of what was.
I'm also a bit of an ink spewer. When ideas come, they are frequently in fragments so I will write out whatever comes and then let it flow along into the next thought. I return to these bits later and see if there is more that wants to be written.

I go in spurts where I have too much to say, and then long stretches where I feel like I am dragging my feet to write one sentence. I have no answers, but my friend Heidi wrote a post about this a while ago that I think is pretty good. :)
