Chloe's Bananagram
There are no more words.
Thrum, slosh, slither, whoop—yep.
I've written them all.
Is there such a thing as a store of words?
Thrum, slosh, slither, whoop—yep.
I've written them all.
Is there such a thing as a store of words?
Crumbling, dimpling, grousing,
Nuzzle, clink, mutter, clamber . . .
I'm stockpiling a new cache.
Where I replenish my word supply.

Did you hear the news? There was a bad accident at the corner of 5th& Pine. A truck delivering 100 copies of Roget's Thesaurus to a book store collided with the Webster's Dictionary truck.
Each driver blamed the other and this is what they did to settle the dispute..
They began to :
bang, bash, bat, batter, belt, box, break, bruise, buffet, cane, castigate, clout, club, collide, crush, cudgel, drub, flagellate, flail, flog, hammer, hit, knock, lambaste*, lash, lick*, maltreat, mash, maul, pelt, pound, pummel, punch, punish, ram, rap, slap, slug, smack, spank, strike, swat, thrash, thresh, thump, thwack, trounce, wallop, whale, whip each other till the cops came.....
Love it, Nancy!
what a darling post!
And I never trust a writer who says they don't like to read!
I love words and books too. I could spend hours in a bookstore. When I have been shopping with my daughters or friends I tell them to go into the other stores and meet me at the bookstore in an hour. They come back and I'm still not ready to leave.
My grandkids and I love playing Bananagrams. The ones that are 13 and up are excellent competitors. The ones that are younger like to play along, and we are careful to applaud the words they make.
