Death Benefits

"You're covered."

I was on the phone with Marta, discussing my blog, when the fire alarm went off.

"Oh shoot!" I said. "Now I have to decide whether to die, or go out and stand on the sidewalk in my nightgown for 45 minutes."

"Don't go," said Min. "And don't worry. I'll still publish your blog."

reminds me of the time I was hesitating to join a tour of the Holy Land - protesting I was concerned about the terrorist activities. Our priest-leader assured me, "Don't worry. I'll pray you back." I went.
Thanks for sharing a moment from your lovely mother-daughter relationship.

Should I call and see if your building burned down or will Marta just publish that news here on the blog then?

Ha! Okay so I guess you lived unless Marta is the one who published this blog! :)
