The Mysterious Bookshop is a store selling nothing but mysteries.Located in TriBeCa, with a staff that knows every book. I asked for mysteries that take place in NYC, and I immediately had fifty to choose from.
Books of Wonder is a bookstore that sells nothing but children's books.
The Cupcake Cafe sells nothing but cupcakes!

I'm SO jealous! I love NYC! In fact, I think you just sparked my "60th" birthday celebration location! Katie turns 30 this year in July too... I'm sensing a "girls trip" (my fingers are crossed). Thanks for all the tips! Travel safe! Let's do lunch when you get home... I have interesting tidbits!

I have always wanted to have the time and money to crawl over NYC and see all the places like this that I want to see. I read about Tender Buttons in amagazine years ago, and I have never gotten to see it. Whenever I'm in NY, other people with me have different priorities and I don't get to do what I want.
I would absolutely love Books of Wonder! (I'd probably never leave.) My life-long goal was to write and illustrate children's books. Sigh :(
