Halloween Book

Pumpkin Heads by Wendell Minor

"I'll bet living in a nudist colony takes all the fun out of Halloween."

Any cool, easy ideas for costumes?

  1. I haven't attended a Halloween party in a few years, but how I love them! If I was going this year, I'd be waterfall and cover myself with blue and white streamers...

Love this post! Warm regards, Susan

  2. We went to Boo At The Zoo last year and the best costume I saw was a jellyfish. Homemade of course. Not unlike Susan's waterfall.

I expect nudists would face paint all over.

  3. Hmmm...Ellie's costume is pretty easy. She'll wear a white shirt with a red patterened apron over it (of course, the apron on her is more like a dress) she'll carry a little basket...and I made her a little riding hood (red, of course) from and old t-shirt I found at DI. It would probably be easy to put that together for an adult, as well. And I was thinking, if I dress up, I could be granny...heck, all I'll need to do is wear a nightgown, night cap, slippers and possibly a wig. Easy-peasy.

  4. Back when we only had three kids, we dressed the older two up in raincoats, boots and firemen's hats, and the baby wore orange with little felt flames safety pinned all over his clothes. D and I went as ladders. We just wore sweats and used masking tape to mark the ladder rungs on our clothes. The ones on the legs were split of course, so we could still walk, but if we stood with our legs together it still looked like a ladder.
I almost always have my baby boys be santa for their first Halloween. A red sleeper and a santa hat does the job.
