Baby Your Baby

William Adolphe Bouguereau

"Now the thing about having a baby--
and I can't be the first person to have noticed this--
is that thereafter you have it."
Jean Kerr

My baby had a baby! (I'll let her post the particulars when she gets her bearings. Everything went well.) So now Dee and I have 26 direct descendants. Having had seven of them myself, I have to say it's much less labor to have them born in a different state. I can't wait to fall asleep with him cuddled on my chest. There is nothing sweeter.

  1. Yippee! I love holding sleeping babies. I always borrow babies at church.

  12. My daugher in law Martha Griffiths (...one of your Blogapaloooze friends) just had her cute baby girl and I was invited to attend the delivery. I never get tired of the whole thing. What an amazing event. Such a miracle!

I will say however... glad it's not me doing the pushing... leave that to the younger gals. It's great to be on this end and just be a Nana. I love every minute of being a grandparent. My kids have said, "Did you love us as much as you do the grandkids?" My reply... "Well....."
