It's time to wake up!
I love politics! I follow the stats and players like some folks follow baseball. In spite of my enormous enthusiasm for a good game, the Democratic Primary has put me to sleep the last few months. Too many time-outs, too much stalling, too many trick plays.
But the playoffs are over!!
I was conflicted earlier in the season. Mitt Romney was my man, but the Repubs weren't my team. The Democrats were my party, but Hillary could take a walk. I chose my man over their woman.
Later in the game, when McCain took over, I was again conflicted. I had liked him when he was a renegade free agent but he dropped the ball. I was vastly impressed with Barack Obama, but I assumed he'd be knocked out of the ballpark. My hopes were raised with each new inning. Could he come from behind and win the game?
He hit a home run! His speech tonight made me cry. I'm ready for a whole new season.
Me too! AMEN! Ditto!
ReplyDeleteI am a democrat too. Yay for Obama!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a Barack supporter. Someday I'd love a woman president but not Hillary.
ReplyDeleteI hope it is Barack or McCain not Hilery Clinten, The Indiana Jones #4 is sort of scary
ReplyDeleteOkay, when did my son have time to comment? That cracks me up. I just got off the treadmill - guess he was up here reading blogs.
ReplyDeleteI, too, cannot rally myself to support Hillary. I do like Obama, but find myself torn between him and Mccain, who I like. I think I'll probably swing towards Obama.
Gobama!
ReplyDeleteMarty, I'm so glad you're on my team at last! Goooooo OBAMA!
ReplyDeleteI want my absentee ballot now, my mind is made up.
ReplyDeleteI love politics, too. Except when I hate it.
ReplyDeleteI also was won over by Obama and increasingly outraged by Hillary's tactics. She crossed the ethical line too many times for me.
I saw a bumper sticker that said, "Someone else for President." That's about where I stand. I'm ready to start my own party.
ReplyDeleteI love the sports analogy! - it has certainly been a horse race! It promises to be an interesting "play-off!"
